The beautiful, fresh snow-fall of Lincoln Park’s winter created the dreamiest wonderland romance for Anne and Michael. Fluffy, white snowflakes danced around the city sky, the most beautiful backdrop for this charming Chicago winter engagement session.
When discussing with these lovebirds, we talked about how lovely it would be to have fresh snowfall on the Lincoln Park grounds. To our luck, the day was just that – whimsical snowflakes covered the park with a soft, white blanket. Anne wore an alluring blush coat with faux-fur detailing and a pair of glamorous black booties. Her fiancé looked dashing in his cozy winter parka. Even their sweet puppy, Tank looked handsome in his adorable blue bowtie. The perfect chic, classic looks for the very trendy Lincoln Park area.
Anne & Michael met in 2016 at a music concert. Fate had them standing just next to each other, they chatted and danced the night away, and the rest was history. One of my favorite parts about getting to be a Chicago engagement and wedding photographer is hearing all about love, how you met, when you fell in love, and seeing it first hand through my camera. I especially loved hearing about their furry babies and hobbies, their favorite restaurants around Lincoln Park, and what they are most excited about in terms of getting married. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding date!
In terms of winter engagement sessions, there can always be a bit of uncertainty in terms of the weather – will it be too cold? Too much slush? Not enough snow/too much snow? I find it’s best to have a flexible second (sometimes even a third) backup date incase anything goes wrong with the original plans. We were lucky enough to have our original planned date perfect – with the most beautiful weather and large, fluffy snowflakes falling delicately and slowly around the sweetest couple. A Chicago Lincoln Park Winter Engagement session that will stay in my memories for life.
